2014 Class/Workshop Information

Hello all! I have decided to enter the world of blogging! I look forward to sharing photos and commentary from my sessions, but for my first blog I wanted to announce our Introduction to Sports and Action Photography class at ATU's Lake Point Conference Center on March 8th!

Whether you are a sports enthusiast looking to pursue Sports Photography or you are a parent looking to capture moments in your child's active life with great, quality photos, this class is for YOU!!!

In this class we will cover everything from photography basics, to equipment, to techniques.

In the Photography Basics segment we will teach you how to use your camera's settings to maximize its full potential.  By the end of this segment you will be saying good-bye to Auto Settings and hello to Manual!!!

In the Equipment segment we will talk about different equipment options.  We will discuss ideal equipment for action photography as well as how to get the most out of the equipment you already have.

In the Techniques section we will discuss different techniques to capturing great images.  Some of the things we will discus will include position, capturing emotion, light, and timing, along with a few others.  I will also give you my 8 Elements to Success with your sports and action photos!

This course will also include shooting time with a model(s) so we can practice what we learn in the classroom.  Come prepared to take notes, ask questions, and HAVE FUN!!! The Intro to Sports/Action Photography class will be on March 8th from 1:00-5:00 pm.  The cost per student is $75 or $70 with a Tech ID or if you are 55+.
